Viral Tolat
Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer
Viral Tolat co-founded Integral in 1993 with Harpal Sandhu. He has spearheaded Integral's development of key capital markets e-commerce platform technologies, including the Internet Financial Server, and FinXML, the first viable standard for digital representation, communication and transfer of highly complex financial instruments that are common in capital markets trading. Prior to Integral, Viral worked as a computer scientist for Teknekron Infoswitch. In this role, he developed telecommunications products for call-centers that integrate telephony with PC and UNIX-based workstations. After Teknekron, Viral was a lead systems architect and developer for a joint NASA-Stanford University Space Shuttle mission. Viral developed a multitasking UNIX-compatible real-time operating system that was used by NASA aboard the Space Shuttle. Viral holds post-graduate degrees (Ph.D. and M.S.) in electrical engineering from Stanford University. He completed his undergraduate Electrical Engineering degree at the University of Miami.
